Alinta Energy has lodged a development application with Western Downs Regional Council for up to 250 MW of additional gas-powered generation at its existing Braemar Power Station. The application will now proceed through the relevant assessment process.
The proposed development forms part of the Braemar Energy Hub project and would be located within Alinta Energy’s existing power station site, which has operated in the Western Downs region for nearly two decades.
